We have been using Custom Objects to simplify workflows for approvals and group membership and it works really well. One thing missing, though, is the ability to search the records in a Custom Object.

One example is a Custom Object that holds all our AD Groups. With over a 1000 groups it is a tedious task to navigate through the pages to find the item you’re looking for. To makes matters worse, it also not possible to sort the list of records, so I can’t even try to find based on the name as the default sort is last updated date

Implementing a search and sorting for the existing columns would make working with Custom Objects a lot easier.

In addition to these functions, the ability to reorder the view would be helpful. Having the custom objects be stagnant in the reverse order by which they’re added is highly annoying, and causes extra effort upon creation.

Dropping the reference here that Workspace - Global Custom objects has been moved to Roadmap 😀

I’d also like to add this into business rules to set options on identity fields in custom dropdowns in service request forms.

HI Alex, you replied to this idea but didn’t vote. If you add your vote it will increase the chances of getting this implemented.

This would be a game changer for us being able to use custom objects for several different workflows!

We need this ASAP. That will really help organize all 500+ records.

It would be great to access the custom object view/list from the navigation directly, instead of drilling down to Settings > Custom Objects > Object Records.
