Hi,

Now storing a lot more “solutions” for our help desk staff.  What provision or options do we have to make sure we do not lose all these valuable notes?  I see an export to xml but not very user friendly and would have to remember to periodically download and store the data.

Thanks,

*following* because we are just dipping our toes into solutions and having a way to easily backup articles is absolutely imperative!!

@MckHelpDesk@foxcubmama  I have been evaluating this and feel like its a solution we may implement but have not made a firm decision as of yet. Hope this helps a little.

Hi there,

You got two options: a) export the knowledge base into CSV files via a native exporter; b) transfer articles, folders, and categories with an automated migration service

If you consider a native exporter, go to Quick views. Then click on All articles and choose all the articles to export from the article list view. A new window opens where you need to select all columns you require. After that, press Export to receive the CSV file in an email. Moreover, you can filter articles and export only the needed ones.

If you pick an automated migration service, you can transfer categories, articles, and folders from Freshdesk to CSV. After data migration, download CSV files and check if they contain a title, description, tag, status, category, folder, and attachments.

Best regards,

Tetiana
