Has anyone successfully used placeholders on the fields when setting up Service Catalogue items.






We would like to have more descriptive information in each of the fields on a Service Catalogue Item to direct the Requester in exactly what information we need from them.






Having to 'suggest' what information we need by have a long Field Description isn't very end user or designer friendly



Looking at the user case here, if I have a custom object with choices in it, I would want to limit the choices by the service catalog item name.  Say access groups, I need to have the customer select the access type required, but I only want items where the list column matches the service catalog item.


I agree, there are numerous instances in the Service Catalog as well as when submitting an incident where we want to add information to specifically state what information we want to collect from the customer.
