Freshdesk Release Notes 17th Aug, 2016

This release has the following updates apart from performance enhancements and bug fixes :



  • App Platforms - SDK v2.0 with support for in-app events: The execution of a Freshdesk app begins with an 'initialize' event that is triggered every time the app is loaded. However, there are other events such a button click or a ticket field update that apps may want to react to. In app events are events that originate from actions within the app's template. Click and change events are now supported. SDK 2.0 will need to be installed to make use of this feature. An ‘initialize’ event is one that is triggered every time the Freshdesk app is executed. However, apps may wish to react to events such as button clicks or ticket field updates. In addition to the in-app events originating from actions within the app’s template, click and change events are also supported in this new release. Please note that SDK 2.0 will need to be installed in order to make use of these features.

  • All old reports except for Agent and Group Summary have been deprecated.

  • iOS app version 4.3 - Dynamic forms are now supported

Coming soon : Shared ownership - the ticket, its context, and its resolution accountability can be jointly shared between the two assignees. Watch out for this space for more updates .
