We are looking at creating a dashboard in the office that shows a few of the basic details. Open tickets, unassigned tickets. Issues resolved today etc. We had this with our previous software but not with this atm.

How would we go about this without purchasing another licence or having to log in with someone elses credentials and inccuring a data breach

Hi.

I think you could do it through some API calls from a third party tool, and show that data from that third party too.

Regards,

Not sure what FreshService tiers don’t have this available, but you can create dashboards within FreshService without having to go the 3rd party/API route.  Check these out:

The Dashboard is pretty basic, relies on you validating some “Ticket list views”, and will allow other Agents visibility to it as well within their individual Freshservice login.  If you’re trying to put this on one screen that everyone would look at, maybe look at pivoting to the Analytics and creating those widgets there.  You’d have to decide whether to buy an “agent”license for your computer hosting/displaying the dashboard to the TV, or if you want to use an existing login for that display.  If you go the latter, plan on someone needing to manually refresh the analytics page once per day as it seems to get stuck and stop updating the internal data until you refresh it (can be automated with a variety of methods if you want).

Happy to provide more detail based on how we’re using it if that would be helpful.

Hi Dan,

Did you solve this without third-party or API?

I also had the possibility to create dashboard without a license in the old system we had, but in Freshservice I don’t - And I think it could be a great funktion to have a dashboard on a monitor in the Office.

Hi Henrik

Afraid not. I gave up with trying in the end. I could have created a team Dashboard view Team Dashboard is now more inclusive : Freshservice but would have required someone to log into their account on the shared PC that has the monitor in the office. Which for Cyber security it wasn’t something we were comfortable doing.
