Please, someone tell me that I can export the DAYS and DAYS worth of work I did in Analytics / reporting from our Sandbox into our new Production environment.  I spent at least a full work week on Analytics over the past 6 months while I was building out our entire Production Environment and cannot fathom that I won’t be able to move them from the Sandbox to our new Production.

Custom objects too? We cannot export custom objects to production?

Someone please tell me that I am just missing something. We are slated to GO LIVE on MONDAY with Training and this is going to have me working around the clock between now and then.

Wonderful, I got my answer from Freshservice Support. I happily get to spend 20 hours a day between now and Monday AM to manually recreate every widget and report that I spent weeks building in the sandbox.

That sux, there are few other areas that don’t sync as well. Project and Portal settings.

Sorry @SW-Scott that blows.  The sandbox leaves a lot to be desired, we don’t use it because it doesn’t do a 1:1 sync and I can’t present it to my clients because the front page settings, css, etc don’t get brought over either.

@ITMike I appreciate the commiserating :)  unfortunately we are not permitted to perform ANY work in production in any of our systems without it going through QA so not only did we waste weeks of time building Analytics in the most poorly designed reporting environment I’ve ever encountered but we also got to waste other team-members and manager time performing QA evaluations on each report.

I also learned that I cannot even take the reports that we made and manually duplicate them until data exists. Overall, I’ve been very happy with Freshservice and especially happy with their quick turnaround and quality of email support, but this is a big thorn in my side and I’m not looking forward to telling directors today that we cannot provide analytics for a few weeks after we go live because we will be chasing our tails polishing things where people didn’t request what they truly required.

Analytics takes FreshService Enterprise from a 4.5 Star out of 5, for me, to a 3 star product.

@SW-Scott agreed, I’ve had issues with the analytics section from the beginning, we port everything out and build the data in powerbi when we are engaged.  They have got better about with it but not enough.  I also have a huge issue that anyone with access to the analytics section can build reports, however, the Freshservice admin can’t see them without it purposely being shared to them.  I have no idea what reports are out there how accurate they are and then if the person who built it leaves the report goes with them and I have no ability to see or know it existed.
