Numbering Tasks within a Ticket

I’m using Tasks on my Tickets - With the numbering, the tasks are not refreshing with a new ticket. Ticket 1, for example, might have two tasks. Then on Ticket 2, the first task is numbered 3 and so on, Can this be changed so that task numbering are unique to the ticket? Ticket 1 tasks 1-3, Ticket 2, Task 1-3..etc.

Tasks numbers are sequencial the same as the Ticket numbers. You can change the order of them but not the numberign scheme.

 

What is it you’re trying to achieve?

I’d like to change the numbering scheme so that task numbers are sequential within the ticket - not a running tally of all tasks that have been completed.

yeah, it doesn't work like that :D You can change the sequence to give you an order, but that’s it

The overall task numbering in the system follows a sequential pattern by design, and unfortunately, this behavior cannot be modified.
