has anyone else noticed since the maintenance window 8/30 all their email notifications are messed up? The Service Item placeholders which output all the visible fields for SR, used to output via table in email and now its just a jumbled up mess of a paragraph.  Were on Semi-annual channel for Outlook, so no Outlook updates happened. and Support acknowledged others have reported the issues.

FreshService Support just simply says use outlook on the web instead of desktop app or “new Outlook Beta”, which isnt really an option for large organization. Seems like there's some kind of compatibility issues in their code for Outlook Desktop app.   anyone have any ideas?

Example:

I’m experiencing this issue as well. I asked if it was caused by an update on FS side, support didn’t directly answer that question and directed us to contact Microsoft. Outlook Desktop client reads HTML a little different than the web browser so I’m guessing it’s because of an FS update. There are some placeholders that are still working correctly. The two place holders identified by FS support were, - {{ticket.visible_service_item_fields}} and {{ticket.service_item_fields}}

@David Pietrs
same kind of response i got from support, and wont escalate it to dev team even after i did all the work to find the issue for them lol.

I pulled the HTML Code and looks like they changed the code and is now using CSS “Display” properties to create the tables instead of <Table> HTML method.

Which... outlook does not support the “Display” Table CSS properties, only HTML <Table>

I pulled source from before 8/30 and from today below. 1. is before 8/30 code   and 2. is present code

I’ve noticed the same issue since the 8/30 maintenance—email notifications are definitely off. The placeholders are all jumbled up, and the workaround suggested by Support isn’t practical for large organizations. Has anyone found a better solution or workaround?

Update: @abuhanzala @David Pietrs
I got through with support, and got passed to developers to revert the changes. No ETA on that release, but in the past, rollout usually takes place once a month

@Fathom55 Thanks for the update! This morning formatting is working for me. I was still stuck at the first escalation level with my ticket and still being told that there was no change. Glad you were able to escalate the issue!
