If you're looking to use WhatsApp on both your mobile and desktop seamlessly, WhatsApp Web or WhatsApp Desktop app can be a game-changer. You can link your phone to your computer by scanning the QR code displayed on the WhatsApp Web page or through the desktop app. This allows you to access your messages, send media, and continue chats on both devices. Just make sure your phone stays connected to the internet, as it serves as the primary connection. For more tips on managing WhatsApp across devices, check out HekateSwitch.
Hi
WhatsApp doesnt allow business to use same number in two platforms. So if you have integrated the number with FreshChat, its not possible to use in your mobile.
Please be informed, this is Meta’s policy and Freshworks is adhering to the same.
Thanks.
That’s a good question. Normally, WhatsApp Business can be used on mobile alongside integrations like Freshchat and Freshdesk, but the main limitation is that a single business number can only be active on one WhatsApp Business app at a time. If you try to use the same number on both the mobile app and the integration, it may cause conflicts. A better approach is to stick with the Freshchat integration for your support team and keep WhatsApp Business on mobile for personal management, or consider using a secondary number for testing. I’ve had a similar challenge while managing apps on different platforms (even when working with tools like HappyMod app for testing APKs), and the key is separating usage to avoid sync issues.
If you want to use WhatsApp smoothly on both your phone and computer, WhatsApp Web or the desktop app is a great option. All you need to do is scan the QR code on the WhatsApp Web page (or in the desktop app) with your phone to link the two. Once connected, you can read messages, send media, and keep conversations going across both devices. Just remember that your phone must stay connected to the internet since it acts as the main link.
