Hi Folks,

For one of my clients , they wanted us to set us a same password for all of their requester so that when their requester are logging in to Freshservice account , tool shouldn’t ask them to put their email id & password..Is it possible to do the same in tool.

 

And please explain us how does that magic link concept works in freshservice.

It is not advisable to set up the same password for all requesters in Freshservice. Doing so would compromise the security of the accounts as anyone who knows the password would be able to access all the accounts. Instead, you can enable the Single Sign-On (SSO) feature in Freshservice which allows users to log in with their existing credentials from other systems such as Google, Microsoft, or LDAP. This eliminates the need for users to remember multiple passwords and improves security by using the authentication mechanisms of the external systems.

Regarding the "magic link" concept in Freshservice, it is a feature that allows users to log in without entering their password. When a user clicks on the "magic link" button, Freshservice sends them an email with a unique link that can be used to access their account. This link is only valid for a certain period of time and can only be used once, making it a secure and convenient way for users to access their account without having to remember their password.
