Freshservice Projects Module -

Is there no way to intelligently link up the Operational Teams and Customer project fields to the relevant Group and Company/Customer fields within the same FreshService instance? Feels like duplication where as the same information in ticket form fields apply to those within the project module?

 

Ideas/thoughts?

It does seem like a missed opportunity for better integration. Ideally, Freshservice should allow for automatic linking between Operational Teams, Customer Project fields, and their corresponding Group and Company/Customer fields to avoid redundant data entry.

Some potential workarounds or ideas:

Automation Rules: You might be able to use workflow automation to sync these fields when a project is created or updated.
API or Custom Scripts: If Freshservice's native automation isn’t sufficient, using their API to auto-link the relevant fields could be an option.
Custom Fields & Dynamic Forms: If possible, setting up conditional fields that pull in data from tickets or other sources could help reduce manual duplication.
