Workload Management Question

Anyone enable workload management?  The documentation says “planning fields” will be in the ticket (not in Change), but I do not see them anywhere?  Anyone know where they are?

Split Project by folders in Projects view

Hello,Is it possible to create folders in the projects view, in order to split Projects by team ?Multiple teams are starting to use project Management in Freshservice within the company, and it’s difficult to have the visibility only on the projects of the team. The existing filters are OK, but as i’m not part of all team p^rojects, It’s difficult to have the visibimlity only on the projects of the team.Thank you

Projects and Project Tasks via Phone App

Does anyone know if FreshService has any plans to enable working with Projects through their iOS app?I have historically been a Trello user and the ability to work with my Projects (Boards in Trello) and to move tasks between columns (Lists in Trello) via the phone app is of importance to me.Also having ShareSheet capabilities on iOS to submit an item to a board or list like Trello would be key as well, though I could live without it if I had the first item.Thanks for any info!

Closed Sub-Tasks don't show on Parent Task

I’m not finding a way to do this, so wanted to pose the question here.We have multiple Tasks with Sub-Tasks, but it seems when the Sub-Task is ‘closed’ it removes from the Parent Task - I would think the Closed Sub-Tasks would still show in the list, just as ‘Closed’ - is there a way to NOT have closed sub-tasks disappear/remove from the Parent Task?

Project Time tracking by agent

Does anyone know how to create a project time tracking (sum) by agent by day?I have made one that I thought would work but the “Date Range Dimension” skews the data. I have some tasks that may be not be closed yet, but I still need to see the current time tracked against them (preferably without exporting a spreadsheet). If I set this as created date, it will only track time for the date that it was created, even if I track time against it at a later date.  I just want to be able to see in a chart how much time is tracked per day, per agent within a particular project.Thank you for y’alls time!

Project Module Fields? Duplication?

Freshservice Projects Module -Is there no way to intelligently link up the Operational Teams and Customer project fields to the relevant Group and Company/Customer fields within the same FreshService instance? Feels like duplication where as the same information in ticket form fields apply to those within the project module? Ideas/thoughts?

FreshService Project Tasks

Is there a way of closing/resolving a task when it is linked to an incident or request.  i.e. If a task is linked to an incident and that incident is set to resolved can the task also be set to resolved without having to remember to update the linked task or at least a warning/notification that there is a linked task.

Bulk import project tasks and subtasks

I seem to have an issue with bulk importing project tasks.i made an export to get the format of the needed csv and built the right new one, but while it imports everything else fine, it ignores the parent-ID on sub-tasks, instead creates a new task. (type sub-task is defined, Parent Task ID is defined, yet it ignores that). how can i bulk import correctly, i.e. having sub-tasks also created with the correct parent task?

Freshservice Project Module Constantly Hanging/Unresponsive

I have started using the Project module over the past weeks and more often than not I tend to hit this once every hour or so which then leave me in a state in which I cannot continue the work I’m attempting to complete.Is this a known issue, and if so how do we remedy?  I know others are experiencing this also, using various web browsers.

Next-Gen Project Management: Link User Stories and Bugs directly to versions

I would like to be able to associate User Stories and Bugs in my software projects directly to versions, but I only see the version field on Epics right now. This causes two problems in my workflow:Most of my software projects involve multiple stakeholder groups, each with different goals and timelines, so I have been using epics to organize this. However, because each group uses the same application, supported by one team, our versions must be determined by the work the application team can fit into a release, not the completion of entire epics. The auto-generated release notes only list the epics, not the user stories and bugs linked up to the epics. So, even if I align my epics to releases, I’m not getting anything out of this additional tracking that I couldn’t do by linking my user stories and bugs directly to the change request for the release.Does anyone have a solution for this?

RAG Rating

We are looking at using the RAG rating system for some of our projects, but FreshService currently does not have that functionality in place.  Does anyone have any ideas/workarounds?

Deleting Project Template Wipes Project

This feels like a bug, but wanted to pose the question here.I had one of our Agents create a Project Template, then he copied that Project Template, made some changes, saved it, and deleted the old Template so he wouldn’t use it again. When he did that, the new Project Template he had copied was wiped clean. We’re going to do some more testing, but this feels like a bug. If a Template is copied, the original Template it was copied from shouldn’t have any impact on the new Template, correct?

Project template with start and end date + duration?

Hi, Project template with start and end date + duration?As I see it it works with the built in template “Talent Acquisition Plan” However if I try to do a template like that myself all dates except the main start and end date for the project will be deleted so I have to fill in the dates on all task again.It’s a gamechanger for me to be able to create templates like “Talent Acquisition Plan” with the complete plan for all tasks.We are looking into using the project module for +300 projects the next year with the exact same plan every time - just new dates and projekt names.

Workload and Holidays & Rotas

Is there somewhere in workload management where agents can add their days off/holidays, and supervisors can block out days where they may be assigned to support rotas etc, so that they show as not available for tasks etc?

Project Resources

It would be beneficial to be able to add a resource to a project that is not an agent/requestor.  For example, I have tasks that are being added to a project but are assigned to external entities.  Being able to add the project resource and assign the task to them helps me track who is responsible for that task.  We have cases where a consultant, state level employee, or external vendor are leveraged on a project.

Re-order list of project names

Has anyone figured out a way to sort or re-order the list of all project names displayed when you first open the projects pane?  I know you can filter the projects, but we need to re-order this list.  This seems to be a very basic needed feature that doesn’t appear to exist right now.

Unable to see the Project Analytics

I’m seeing project analytics under Reporting in freshservice support but I’m unable to see it in my account. Am I missing something? I cant find any useful documentation also. Please help check. No Project Analytics link under Analytics menu

Project Management Licenses

Hello FS community! Does anyone know how often you can assign/reassign the project management licenses? Is there a limit? I think we would like to get a few, but would need to reassign as new projects arise.  Thanks in advance!Zach
