I would like to be able to associate User Stories and Bugs in my software projects directly to versions, but I only see the version field on Epics right now. This causes two problems in my workflow:
- Most of my software projects involve multiple stakeholder groups, each with different goals and timelines, so I have been using epics to organize this. However, because each group uses the same application, supported by one team, our versions must be determined by the work the application team can fit into a release, not the completion of entire epics.
- The auto-generated release notes only list the epics, not the user stories and bugs linked up to the epics. So, even if I align my epics to releases, I’m not getting anything out of this additional tracking that I couldn’t do by linking my user stories and bugs directly to the change request for the release.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
