I’ll go first! While I’m not a huge sports fanatic, I deeply admire the passion and hard work of Olympic athletes/players. Their dedication is truly inspiring, and it’s a great lesson in perseverance!
Lakshya Sen (Indian Badminton Player). Even though he missed out on the bronze medal by just 10 points, his drive and determination are impressive.
Vinesh Phogat (Indian Wrestler) Although she made it to the semifinals, it was disappointing to see her miss the finals. Hats off to her performance and perseverance!
And, I can’t end without talking about Simone Biles (American Gymnast) and her incredible moves! Her gymnastics skills are simply phenomenal and I was totally in-awe!!!
Thank you! This is a great initiative.
I have to admit I haven’t been following the Olympics that closely this year but I really did feel heartbroken for Vinesh Phogat like you mentioned @Kamakshi V - so close and then the unfortunate turn of events!
There also seemed a lot of unfairness and controversies with a lot of players which was rather unnecessary at that stage of the game.
But I do agree, Simone Biles is always a treat to watch, especially after I saw her documentary on Netflix. Another superb performance was Arshad Nadeem, Pakistani Javelin thrower!
All athletes work so hard to reach the Olympics and all boils down to the performance of the day - kudos to their incredible mental strength and stamina!
