Show solution article in multiple folders or categories

I have been asking for this for years. We should be able to organize the knowledge base display based on tags. That would allow an article to show up under multiple categories and would be SO easy to do. If you wanted to get a little fancy, you create the ability to set up a category/folder hierarchy and you can map each category and/or folder to a tag so that any article tagged with the same tag as the category or the folder would appear in that folder.

Hiding Menu in Header

That’s great until you allow some solutions articles to be visible to not logged in users but restrict ticketing to logged in users. Then “n” varies depending on if you are logged in or not. If you’ve edited the header code to include some hard coded menu tabs to appear after the dynamic ones, then your hardcoded once will disappear depending on what page you’re on and if you’re logged in.It would be far better to be able specify a specific tab to be hidden.

Portal liquid template.

@Shimon Did you ever find a solution to this problem?I’m actually trying to do this display but only for the category & folders that the current article is inside of. Do you know how I’d tweak this code to work for that?

Coding Help Needed to Display Article Category/Folders in Sidebar

@Aishvarya I already reached out to your support team who told me to go hire a developer. When I asked for an updated list of all your liquid placeholders and other tags, they pointed me to an incomplete article in your knowledge base that hadn’t been updated in years.The fact that FreshDesk expects their clients to hire web developers for even the most minor of portal changes rather than building in a WYSIWIG interface is absurd and out dated.  I can’t even modify the default font size or styles in the portal without knowing how to code. Not all of your clients have developers on staff.
