Using custom installation page with invoking templates

Hey all. We have a custom installation page in which we first retreive the ticket fields for some settings. I’ve been trying to pass the Api Key as an param with invoking the template but I can’t get it to work. My code now looks like this: let subdomain = domain.replace(".freshdesk.com", "");let apiKey = jQuery("#api-key").val().trim();client.request.invokeTemplate('getTicketFields', { body: JSON.stringify({ subdomain: subdomain, apiKey: apiKey, }), }) And the request.json looks like this: { "getTicketFields": { "schema": { "protocol": "https", "host": "<%= subdomain %>.freshdesk.com", "path": "/api/v2/tickets", "method": "GET", "headers": { "Authorization": "Basic <%= encode(apiKey) %>" } } } } But I unfortunately keep receiving the error: error while substituting templatesAnybody got any idea? I already checked if subdomain and apiKey have value and they do.

Dell Warranty marketplace app

Good morning!We have added the Dell Warranty app to FS but cannot get the information to populate.In the Manufacturer section of the Product Overview page, Dell, Inc. is the populated information.We have also waited more than 36 hours for the information to sync. Did anyone have to do anything special to get this app to work in their environment? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

Adding guest users to Azure AD groups

Hi, Any tips on how to add a guest user to a Azure AD security group using the Azure AD - Orch app in  a workflow? The requester email is not sufficient as microsoft adds the #EXT#@<domain>onmicrosoft.com  to guest accounts

JIRA Orch app

Hi, Anyone here using the JIRA Orch app to add comments to a issue ? I just get error saying something is wrong and I should look API documentation. I don’t get what I should look for. My first idea is that the app is out of date, JIRA has changed the API. But I like to check  here first.

I see that we can connect to PowerBI using the ticket analytics.  But I don’t see the same functionality for Project Analytics.  Does anyone know how to connect project data to PowerBI?Thanks!

Issue with iframe Sandbox Attribute in Freshservice Custom App

I have developed a custom CCP application for Amazon Connect using the Streams library. When deploying it as a custom app in Freshservice, I encountered a login issue. After entering credentials in the login popup, the page remains unresponsive. The browser console shows an error related to the iframe's sandbox attribute. Modifying the attribute by including "allow-top-navigation-by-user-activation" resolved the issue. It appears that the default Freshservice source code lacks the necessary flag for iframe navigation.Seeking community support to address this issue. Any insights, guidance, or best practices for integrating custom apps or iframes into Freshservice would be highly appreciated. Storing Sensitive Data in Freshservice Custom Application

I am currently in the process of building a custom application within our Freshservice environment. The purpose of this application is to create a new group in Google Workspace whenever a ticket is created. However, I have concerns regarding the storage of sensitive data, specifically the client's Google service account credentials.Upon researching the available options, I came across Freshservice's iparam framework, which seems to be a commonly used method for storing sensitive data within custom applications. However, I would like to explore alternative options, if any, to ensure the highest level of security for our client's information.Could anyone please advise if there are any other recommended approaches or best practices for storing sensitive data within custom applications in the Freshservice environment? I want to ensure that we comply with industry standards and maintain the confidentiality of our client's data.

AD Authentication Does not Accept Nested Groups??

We created an AD security group for Fresh_Requesters and Fresh_Agents that provide the appropriate permissions in Freshservice.  Does Fresh not allow nested groups to authenticate?  Do we really have to add each individual user to the Fresh groups, because a nested group like “All Staff” doesn’t seem to work.  Is there a place to manage this?

Azure Proivision

I am trying to mapped our Source Attribute value EmployeeID from Azure to fresh service target attribute name and everything I have tried will not display it in fresh service, is there a field I need to setup within fresh service? I created under the user fields a Employee # field, but it will not auto fill it when the provision is run.

AD Orchestration - special characters

I’ve recently set up some automation workflows using AD orchestration app, it generally works fine but I’m finding that actions like ‘add user to group’ fail if the user or the group name has an apostrophe in it.Does anyone know if there a way to pass these through as just text and ignore the special characters?Thanks for you help!

Freshservice Intergation with Microsoft Sentinel

There was a thread on this question started over a year ago but no answer.  I am trying to setup integration between Microsoft Sentinel and Freshservice for a customer of mine.  We have the automation playbook setup using an example from another service desk logic app.  We are using the freshservice connector.  IT is asking for the username and password.  I am assuming this is an API username and password?  When trying an account and after creating an API Key for that account the connector still doesn’t connect.  Please check your account info and/or permissions and try again. Ive turned on transcript feature in Fresh Contact Centre and when a user leaves a voicemail, a ticket is created in FreshService The ticket looks like this  What i want to do is include the transcript of the voicemail in the ticket. I have approached FreshService Support and this was their response: you can translate the transcription using some third-party translation service and add that has a note in the ticket that got created in the freshservice.

Having been working with the Freshservice workflow automations with the PowerShell Apps installed, I’ve created PowerShell modules to manage Fresh Service, currently covering tickets, requesters, agents, groups, service catalog items, custom objects, locations and departments.You can find the module here on GitHub: LesNewbigging/FreshAPIv2: A PowerShell module containing functions that invoke the Fresh v2 APIs (github.com)This is a work in progress, and I intend to add more functionality for other areas the API covers, but I prioritised on the assumption that tickets would be the main focus of any interaction.Feel free to take the code and adapt it for your own needs - I’ve tried to make them as generic as possible, wrapping the API functionality within them.Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Kaseya Integration

HI Everyone, i would love to know if anyone has successfully integrated Kaseya to Freshservice and the best approach to take with this. Business has decided that Kaseya will be the tool of choice for Asset management, need to be able to leverage this information in Freshservice to speed up support, maybe even use the remote capabilities of Kaseya inside Freshservice.

What happened to the Connectwise Control Freshservice integration?

I see a connectwise control inegration for FreshDesk in the freshworks marketplace, but not for FreshService.  I understand that it used to exist, but was removed for some reason.  Anyone know what happened to it, and whether there’s a chance of it coming back?  We’re just evaluating connectwise control now, and it would be great if we could launch a remote session straight from freshservice.

Azure AD Orch - cloud vs on-prem group filtering

Hi Everyone,  New to FS. We have created an Azure AD automation for user offboarding. Its getting stuck on the removal of groups from the user. The list of groups returns just fine, but the next step to remove fails.  I believe this is because we have a mixture of cloud and Windows Server AD groups the user is assigned to. If I remove the local AD group manually the workflow completes. We are using the function What is Remove User from Groups by User ID and then using the list of groups parsed in the previous function Get Group Membership Of User By Username My question is:Is there any way to provide a filter to the group to exclude non cloud groups from the flow?
