Just like customer photos are pulled from Facebook or Twitter, how about integrating with LinkedIn as well?

Additionally, it would be great if conversations on LinkedIn could be converted to tickets.

Can Freshdesk at least give a statement on why this request is not taken? B2B companies are in dire need of LinkedIn integration. For example in order to manage social comments, just like on the Facebook page or on Twitter.

This is a good integration idea.  Many users of Freshdesk helpdesks will be professionals, and a high proportion would have LinkedIn profiles.  Why mark this as Not Taken with no explanation?

The majority of our customers use LinkedIn for their professional exchanges rather than Twitter or Facebook. 


Integration with LinkedIn probably makes more sense for smaller companies like us with less public brands. 


Look at your customer base, I imagine the majority will be smaller companies dealing with customers around the globe.

Loving this idea - I really think Freshdesk should reconsider! 


I too think it would be great, I am currently having to put their linkedin URL in the "Background" field. As well as pictures, it could help you populate the customers likely timezone, prefered language, twitter id and other useful "data cleansing" type information


LinkedIn is a powerful social media channel, so it makes sense to have it included in the list of social profiles that can integrate with Freshdesk. 


Since this isn't currently possible, the workaround we found was to install a third party tool from Tenfold which allows social profile integrations from all social media channels - provided they match the information on each particular customer we have on record.


For those who prefer to have it as a feature on Freshdesk directly, I hope this becomes available on Freshdesk in the future.




I just set up the Facebook integration and the first question I got from the communications department was if the same is possible for Linkedin.

So yes I hope this integration will eventually be taken.
