A new fixed column appeared this lunchtime on the ticket list.
Unfortunately, I do not want this column to be fixed. Indeed, it has no added value in my process

I want the same features as before this update.

die gleiche Anfrage haben wir vor einigen Minuten auch beim Support hinterlassen. Ein Mehrwert für dieses Feld ergibt sich nur in analytics. Es wurde anscheinend als Feedback in die Liste für den Produktmanager aufgenommen.

Yes, this column is completely useless in the ticket view for myself and my team. Forcing this to be a fixed column just takes up screen space that could be better used. Please make this toggleable. Very curious to see the story behind this ‘enhancement’. Who would ask for a fixed column? This field is useful for analytics but that’s about it.


Hi there! I also signed up today for Freshworks community after using Fresh Desk for a year to ask this same question. Can we have the ability to remove this column from our ticket view.

This is a useless “feature” and should not be a fixed/non-removeable item.


No problem! On the contrary, it shows that many of us are waiting for a change


Agreed, its a silly “Enhancement” that should be optional, I assume it always was optional.

I raised with support who said my feedback was valuable but these days it doesn't feel like it.

I let go the extra clicks the “Ticket View” change causes, not sure how wide Freshdesk think users monitors are but to avoid scroll bars it has to be massive with all these changes.


Agree that Source is not a useful piece of information to make fixed. It adds no value to that view. 

 

Also, second the annoyance of the updates to “Ticket Views” now needing more clicks! 
 

I raised this with Support and it cannot be removed because of “Because of the incremental changes that are yet to be released” Which does not fill me with much confidence. 


Please remove this useless field or at least make it optional. All our tickets have source email, as the rest of the general departments on the company.


I thought I was crazy, wondering if ticket views was actually requiring more clicks. Glad to see others have noticed it too. 


My team does not like this “enhancement” at all. It takes away precious screen real estate from the ticket list view.


My team is also opening tickets on this being a fixed column in Freshdesk, everything comes in through email so it’s not useful information. They want the ability to remove. 

 


We would also like this removed, this clogs our view and doesn’t offer any valuable information. 


Agreed with you all. Why would this column all of a sudden be forced on us! Ugh.


Another vote to remove this update. 


The fixed source column is not beneficial for our team of users, and it clutters the view. Remove the fixed column.


Yes, this column is unless and messes with the flow and now I have to close my filters to see everything ever time. It should be an optional choice, not to mention how many possible sources are there and who thought for a moment that there would be any uses for this? Please take it back and make it an optional choice. Thank you!

Signed up just to add my voice to the chorus. Source is useless information to me and I don’t want to see it.


FYI - you might need to create a support ticket and magnify how much we do not like this new column. So far, this is the response from FD. Doesn’t sound like they are willing to change it.

FD Support wrote this few minutes ago in my ticket :

“Our developers have reverted the changes and the source column was removed from the mandatory list in the table layout.”

it’s not ok for the moment …
