I’ve been wondering—are professional dental cleaning for dogs services really necessary, or can we manage at home? I came across Happy Hound Teeth and they offer professional services that seem helpful, but I’m curious about real experiences.

Has anyone here tried professional dog dental cleaning? What worked for you, and what didn’t?

I’ve done both at-home brushing and professional cleanings for my dog. Brushing definitely helps, but the pro cleaning made a huge difference, especially for tartar below the gumline that I couldn’t reach myself. It’s a bit pricey, but I noticed my pup’s breath improved right away. I think it really depends on the dog’s age and dental health—some can get by with regular brushing, while others really benefit from a vet cleaning every year or two.
