I am trying to test a google calendar integration. Until now I am not able to get this up and running. I keep getting error messages.


Is there a howto or manual for this integration?

Today I tried to integrate google calendar again and it went oke. I didn't recieve the error message again. 


Integration is simple. Just click the button, enter your goolge credentials and ready.

I've integrated Google Calendar into my fd account, but i was disappointed to find that it does not enable me to invite others to the event. Is this in development? If not, could it be added asap?


Any other suggestions are welcome on how to create an event and invite others directly from inside a ticket related to the ticket itself - kind of how Google Mail allows you to create events from an email and it automatically pulls data from the email, PLUS invite additional attendees.

Thank you for writing to us in our Forums. 


This is a very valid suggestion and I have passed the requirement of inviting other users to the event from within the ticket to the team. We will see what best can be done about it.


What you can do now is, share the calendar among other users and you can also associate as many calendars as you like.

I just added Google Calendar to my freshdesk,  and while yes you can add a calender item,  it would be much more useful if it pre-populated some of the field (ie customer name - contact etc) any thoughts?

Further to the above,  i quite often do an "on site" call so i also have to fill in the address manually (sure its easy if "online"  or "in office"  etc

but to have to go back and look up the company address is a real pain

There's a way to integrate Freshdesk with Google Calendar using a third-party tool such as Automate.io. 


Automate.io is a nocode app integration tool. It is also an integration partner to Freshdesk. 


Just go to this page and you will see a myriad of ways to integrate it with your Google Calendar - https://automate.io/integration/freshdesk/google-calendar


Then follow these steps:

1. Connect your Freshdesk and Google Calendar accounts

2. Map the data you want between the 2 apps.

3. Run a test to see if the integration is working fine.

4. Make the integration live.
