The recurrence options need to be more robust.  We would like options to reoccur every 3rd [Day of the week] per [month], etc.  We like to track 3rd party maintenance schedules and they are typically something like 3rd Sunday of the month or something like that.  In the current form, we would have to enter every single one by hand,  Also, can these be associated with an asset more directly.

Could they send reminders?

Could they be synced to someone’s calendar or a MSFT group calendar?

Why is it so hard to get to the change calendar?  If I view details of a maintenance window and then use the breadcrumbs to go back to the calendar, the filter button is missing and it’s basically useless page.

As most of our maintenance windows are linked to patching Tuesday (like in most companies?) each month, this is a much needed improvement.

I want to bump this, as it is a continual problem for us, and I expect for most shops.  Here’s the issue:  Most of our maintenance windows are planned for something like “Every 2nd Tuesday of the month”.  There is no way to accommodate this in the current system other than to manually schedule ever maintenance window.  This is cumbersome and difficult to manage consistently.  Looking for something more like this:

Just to add one point in case this gets further consideration…  It’s very standard as Microsoft adheres to the “2nd Tuesday of every month”.  What would be very useful to accompany this would be a feature that also allow +/- n days.  So for example, “every second Tuesday + 4 days” as the window.  Often patches are released and then we need time to test and want to apply on the weekend or off hours.  This would provide enough flexibility.  Also trying to create a schedule after the 2nd Tuesday is not always the 2nd Saturday depending on what day the month starts on. It’s very difficult to create a schedule without this feature coupled with it.
