If we aren’t using the Purchase Order functions in Fresh Service at the moment, but we have entered the cost value for each inventory item, are there any reports I can run regarding inventory or value?

 

Can I run a report telling me which units have costs associated and those that do not?

Yes, even if you're not using the Purchase Order functions in Freshservice, you can still generate reports based on inventory item data, including cost values. Using the Analytics module or custom reports, you can create a report that shows which inventory items have cost values associated and which do not.

Look for fields like “Item Cost” or similar in the inventory data. You can filter or group items based on whether this field is empty or populated to identify missing cost entries.

This can be helpful for keeping your asset data accurate and up to date, especially if you plan to start using purchase-related features down the line.


Asset and Inventory Templates don’t seem to have much in the way of cost reporting already built? Opening a widget and getting an item cost is rather convoluted.
