I’m trying to edit the type field in the software form under the assets module, and all of the fields are greyed out.  Has anyone else come up against this?

Are you referring to edit a Software asset in order to change its type?

No, I am referring to editing the choices offered in the dropdown

 

 

Oh. I see. Thanks for clarifying. Yes, it seems they are standard non-editable fields. Time to reach Support; may be they could append them for you on backend. Maybe some one from them could also explain this design.

thanks Elvis. Yeah, I’m getting a little fed up with some of these limitations. I have no confidence support will be able to help.

I want to populate / edit the values on the Software ‘Category” field, but cannot see how to view existing values.

Hi Richard,

no, there was never a response for this, sorry…. I just keep a list separate for when I add a new value to that field.
