We are tyring to create a customer workflow where:

  1. Person 1 creates a new deal
  2. Person 1 creates a task within that new deal
  3. Person 1 assigns that task (makes owner) to Person 2
  4. Person 2 completes the task and marks it complete
  5. Person 1 recives a notification (email or other) that Person 2 completed the task

Seems so basic, yet we can’t fina a way to make this work.

To achieve this use-case, a workflow can be configured in such a way that an email notification will be sent whenever the task is marked as completed. The conditions would have to be,

 

  1. Task - Status is in “completed” 
  2. Task - Owner is in “mention the specific owner name” (in case you have to be notified for a particular owner’s tasks)

However, the workflow has an option to send an email to the owner of the task only but you can add yourself in the CC which will notify you as well as the owner on marking the task as completed.
