Hello.

I’ve got a notification sent from a system that raises a ticket and an automator set up that creates 2 tasks.

Depending on which the agent completes the ticket will either generate additional tickets or delete the ticket.

However, when the ticket is closed the delete task is marked as completed so deletes the ticket.

Is there a way to set up an automator to remove the task if the other is completed?

Hi.

Yes, as matter of fact, in the same workflow for the task, you may check for the status of the tasks or the parent ticket, and process it only when the ticket is not closed, for instance.

Regards,

How is the ticket being closed? Is it by a workflow, scenario, or some other automation?

In these cases I’ve found that the rules around tasks or child tickets being open are skipped - automatically closing child tickets for example. I wonder if something similar is happening here with your tasks?
