Part of my workflow for Off-Boarding Leavers changes the ticket status when the leavers end date has arrived.

I have an automator that is set to run when triggered by the ticket status change.

This runs fine if I change a ticket’s status manually, but when the status changed by the system, as a result of the leavers end date arriving, automation does not run.

I want this automator to run when the status changes, regardless of weather that’s a manual or automatic change by the system.

Any suggestions?

We’ve had a very similar issue and it’s been very frustrating.
We’ve tried to build interconnected onboarding and offboarding flows, but they don’t trigger because the change that should have triggered the next step came via a workflow.
e.g. we have a flow that runs a series of automation after specific software is requested (this can be requested manually by users)
and we have a flow that creates the software request after onboarding if specific conditions are met (e.g. job title)...but the software specific flow will not run when the request is raised that way.

We have other issues more in line with what you’re saying though with a minor change such as status update not triggering a flow if the change itself was part of the automation.

I appreciate this doesn’t help you - but know you’re not alone and we’re following this to see if you get a resolution.
