Good day,

I’m setting up a schedule for a report and want to change the report type but the selection is greyed out:
 

However, if I schedule an individual widget the option is available:
 

 

The report is several pages, the widgets are all the same type and all allow the selection.  But I need the report to be sent, not individual widgets.

Why is the option not available for the report and how can I change this?

Hi Suzanne,  Reports are always a PDF unfortunately.  They might as well remove the greyed out box.

In freshservice analytics, the “report type” is basically how you want your data to show up—like tables, bar charts, pie charts, or other widgets. you can start with the ready-made templates or build your own by dragging in widgets and adding filters. super flexible, so you can shape it however you need.

That's interesting, I've only ever known it as pdf since 2021. The email this contains 1 file, either the report as a pdf, or a widget as pdf or cover.

A report can contain extra information and text, whilst displaying data graphically, both of which are only possible via pdf. If a report contained 3 widgets, it would have to create and attach 3 csv files, which would be a lot more complex programming.
