Hi Evlis,
thanks for the quick reply.
The device (android 13) is new - 4 days old. Never had the app on it until i install the latest yesterday. Nothing to uninstall etc.
Fixed. But I do not understand why!
- I emailed the url and password from the PC to the tablet. Logged in to Freshdesk via the browser (duckduckgo app). allowed the password to be saved. It worked ok.
- Pasted the url to the app.
- It gave me the option to sign in using SSO. I accepted.
- I was signed in to the app!!!!
I do not like SSO on apps but I will atend to that later.
Thanks again.
So odd.
Thanks for sharing the workaround. Glad to know it is working for you now, at least that way.
Thanks LizaAlice01,
as I wrote the tablet was connecting via a browser, just not via the app.
FYI I have a stable, fibre ADSL connection 50Mb down, 5Mb up.
If you're having trouble setting up the Freshdesk app, don’t worry—it happens to the best of us! Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
-
Check System Requirements: Ensure your device meets the minimum requirements for running the Freshdesk app. Sometimes, compatibility issues can cause setup problems.
-
Update the App: Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Freshdesk app. Outdated versions can lead to bugs or setup errors.
-
Verify Login Credentials: Double-check your login details, including your domain, email, and password. A small typo can prevent you from accessing the app.
Having trouble setting up the Freshdesk app can be frustrating, especially when you're trying to streamline support. It's similar to when users first explore features in the MX Player Popular App — once things are properly set up, everything runs smoothly and makes a big difference in productivity and user experience!
I’ve been trying to set up the Freshdesk app too and ran into some issues. Was hoping to use it to manage customer inquiries about our Shake Shack drinks menu more efficiently. Hope there's a fix soon!
Sounds frustrating — sometimes even the simplest setup can get stuck like that. I had a similar headache with another service, and it turned out to be a small verification issue. Reminds me of when I did a str login 2025 — double-checking every little detail made all the difference. Maybe try clearing the app cache or re-installing; sometimes a fresh start fixes stubborn errors.
That sounds frustrating—especially when everything seems to be working on desktop. I had a similar issue with another app where the URL was recognized on web but not in the Android version. Turned out it was related to app cache and system webview updates. You might also want to check if the Freshdesk app has any background restrictions on your Lenovo M8.
Been troubleshooting stuff like this a lot lately—maybe too much screen time thanks to games like summertime saga, which always reminds me how smooth UX can make or break the experience!
"Having trouble setting up the Freshdesk app can be frustrating, especially when you just want smooth communication and support tools to work. I’ve faced similar setup challenges with other platforms, but found that switching focus for a bit — like relaxing with Castle TV — can help reset the mind before trying again."
