Export On-Call Schedule

I’m able to initiate the on-call schedule export and download the .ics file, but the file is blank after opening.

 

Anyone have tips on how to export the calendar and import to Outlook?

Hi.

Are you referring to the On-Call Management feature of FreshService? 

If so, you posted your inquiry in the FreshDesk forum, instead of FreshService.

Is the downloaded ics file 0 bytes size?

I have downloaded it and it contains data and is populated on my calendar client when imported.

Export Settings: Double-check your on-call scheduling system's export settings. Make sure it includes all events for the desired timeframe and exports in the correct format (.ics) for Outlook.

Validate File: Open the .ics file in a text editor (like Notepad). You should see event details like titles, dates, and times. If it's empty, the export might be failing.

Importing to Outlook:

Open Outlook desktop app.

Go to "File" > "Open & Export" > "Import/Export" > "Import a file."

Choose "Calendar (.ics or .vcs file)" and browse to your downloaded .ics file.

Click "Finish" to import.
