Is there a way to add information to this contact details pane when creating a ticket? Or get a 

custom object’s information to appear below the contact details?

I understand what you may be looking for is an equivalent App to Detailr (available for FreshService):

However, that exact same behavior / app seems to be not available in FreshDesk.

For FreshDesk you might find useful Requester Info Plus:
