Ticket templlate for requestors

Is there any way whereby the description field on the portal can be pre-populated?

 

Would be good to have a few questions that the user has to answer 

 

~ When did this start 

~ Have you done x etc?

Hi.

Unfortunately, there’s no option in Field Manager where you can prepopulate that particular field.

You could:

Either ask for each question in a different textbox field

Or, add that information in the URL itself; for instance:

https://YOURURL/support/tickets/new?description=~+When+did+this+start%0D%3CBR%3E~+Have+you+done+x+etc%3F

 

Ensure the variable (description) is in lowercase.

 

This is actually a great Idea that several folks have been requested. I guess there should already be a Feature Request for this; couldn’t look for it. If you can and find it, you can vote on it. Or, you could create a new Enhancement Request for this as well:

Requester ticket templates is something we are looking for as well!!! We are currently looking to solve this with service items in our service catalog, and changing the url endpoint for any cards and buttons that send a user to a blank incident form found on the support portal.
