In FreshSales I know it is possible to perform basic calculations and produce a calculated field but was hoping to do this only in reporting rather than clogging up the field list.
I’m looking to get a % of quote value converted purchase value/ quote value a a percentage but I can’t figure out how to do this in Analytics without the additional field added in the Deal module.

Hi @LorneH

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, in analytics, we can't create calculated fields. As you said, we can create a formula field in the deals module to calculate the percentage of the quote value. You can then add this formula field in the report and report exports.

This is a one-time activity during CRM setup.

FreshSales Analytics can assist transportation companies like Crystal Cool Transport in optimizing fare structures and pricing strategies by offering insights into key metrics, such as customer demand trends, seasonal fluctuations, and operational costs. By tracking and analyzing these factors, the company can calculate ideal pricing models that balance profitability with competitive, fair rates for customers. With FreshSales, teams can also generate real-time reports to adapt fares dynamically, aligning prices with both market conditions and financial goals for sustained business growth.

For performing calculations in FreshSales Analytics, you can apply similar data strategies as in RFC calculation, focusing on data accuracy and specific metrics. To understand tax calculation processes like the RFC for reference, you can visit a calculator like RFC, which explains data entry for tax identification in Mexico. This helps ensure reliable analytics outcomes by modeling accurate data parameters.

In FreshSales, you can't perform calculations directly in reports without adding fields first. To find the percentage of quote value converted to purchase value, you'll need to include relevant fields in a custom report. This is akin to checking your medical status on the GAMCA site—both emphasize focusing on essential information without unnecessary clutter.

In FreshSales Analytics, you’re analyzing the time spent by your sales team on various activities. Last week, the team recorded the following hours spent on three different activities:

Client Meetings: 12 hours and 30 minutes
Follow-ups: 8 hours and 15 minutes
Proposal Preparations: 5 hours and 45 minutes
Using a calculadora de horas y minutos, calculate the total time spent by the sales team in hours and minutes.

The IGV Calculator is a tool designed to quickly and accurately calculate the General Sales Tax (IGV) in Peru, currently set at 18%. It helps determine the IGV amount, taxable base, and total cost, simplifying tax management for commercial transactions. Ideal for business owners, accountants, and anyone needing to calculate IGV efficiently and comply with Peruvian tax regulations.

In FreshSales Analytics, I’m trying to calculate the percentage of the quote value converted into a purchase without adding an extra field in the Deal module. While basic calculations and calculated fields are possible, I’d prefer to keep this within reporting to avoid cluttering the field list. If anyone has found a way to achieve this directly in Analytics, I’d appreciate the insights.

On a related note, this is similar to how KDV Hesaplama (VAT Calculation) works—where percentage-based calculations need to be precise yet efficiently handled within reports without creating unnecessary data fields.

Hi @lunchtimeresults

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I understand your requirement. However, since you can create multiple quotes and only one is synced with the deal, it automatically would update the list of products to what the customer would sign for. Hence, it is not possible to store the initial Quote value that you have mentioned here.

And since this not stored anywhere, it is not possible to derive reporting out of it unfortunately.

Alternate solution: You can sync the first quote with deal, and the dealy value will get updated. Use the workflow to store the first time Deal Value on a separate field which you can also hide it as keep so that it doesn’t clutter the UI experience of the users. It would also avoid any manual work.

Please let me know if this helps or if there is anything else that I can help you with.
