Pumpkin Spice 🍮 🎃 Server Outage - One time while working as a level 1 support technician I received a call from a business manager who was unable to access his Point of Sale application. After going through all the normal networking issues, I asked him to go into his server room and take a look. Low and behold someone had knocked over their Pumpkin Spiced latte and it caused the server to short out and crash! Good news is the server room smelled like fall!🍁

Ha ha when I read pumpkin spice my mind immediately said latte!! 😂☕️ Didn’t know a PSL could cause so much harm hehe! Thanks for getting this started Zach and Happy Halloween 🎃!!

Do you have any fun plans - what will/did you dress up as this year? @zachary.king

P.S - nothing like having the room smelling like fall 😍

User who doesn't still know how to submit ticket via portal and continue to prefer calling or chatting. You might find yourself in a humorous situation if they remember your Viber, as they may actively reach out to you!"  🤣👻

Got 1 4 U

user coming to IT service desk, complaining loudly he can’t logon with his laptop to the domain. IT is all shit and more.😣
checking his account - not locked up, all fine.
walking over to this workplace to check local network only to find out that he brought his private laptop (same brand, so fitted nicely into the docking station) and was wondering why he couldn’t logon with his company account  🤣

Trick Reverse it! - 🖲️💻🤓 So one of 3rd line colleagues gets a call one day on his work landline, the man at the end of the phone stated he had a virus on his machine and that he needed to get it fixed before his machine got infected.

Cottoning onto what the man was asking our 3rd line engineer played along sticking him on loud speaker for the who office to hear. He did almost everything the man on the phone wanted apart from letting him remote his machine. The man asked to push the windows button, took 10 minutes to find that, asked to open the cmd prompt, spent about 15 minutes on the web googling what that was. Before he knew it he had him on the phone for 2 hours with the 40 people strong crowded round his machine laughing at every moment.

That day was a good day notching one up for the good guys...😝

Heyy @zachary.king

That's a hilarious mishap! Never underestimate 🤣😅😆 But atleast, the server room got its Halloween makeover with the treat of a cozy, comforting scent of fall in the air! 🎃🍁😄

@raymondcanilao I think I can relate 😉😂 I sometimes use “Slack” as a Hotline for Tech support 😆😝
