Hi, is it possible to automatically raise a status page incident based on some other event?
For example, if Freshservice receives an alert from the NMS, raise an incident to indicate degraded performance on the Local Network

Hi
Would you mind moving this post accordingly to the appropriate forum? (FreshService)
Thank you very much in advanced.
Regards,
Hi David.
If you already have Alert Monitoring in place, you should already be generating Incidents upon the Alert Rules you have defined (if your instance is still under Alert Rules; some instances have been already to the enhanced Alert Workflows). This is what actually raises incidents.
Regards,
Hey
I am also looking for a solution to this. We can make an incident from an alert, but it won’t show on the status page.

Yes, it's possible to automatically raise a status page incident based on another event, like an alert from Freshservice. You can use integration tools like Zapier, Webhooks, or Freshservice API to trigger an incident creation on your status page when specific alerts (like degraded performance) are received from your NMS.

Automating status page incidents ensures seamless updates for platforms like Learn Quran Centre, enhancing trust and communication. By integrating incident automation, providers of online Quran course services can ensure students receive real-time updates, minimizing disruptions and maintaining focus on learning, fostering a reliable and uninterrupted educational experience for users.
Vouch for this, the process to create a status page incident manually is so long-winded. I don’t see any real value in the current process at all.
If we can have alerts triggered by certain thresholds (e.g. Server doesn’t respond to uptime robot/ping after 30 mins, create alert) that then can generate a status page incident automatically, that would be a huge step in the right direction.
Also vouch for this, any sort of automation around the Fresh Service provided status page will be huge.
I keep looking to try and set something up via workflows but nothing seems to be available.

As this isn’t a Idea post nothing going to happen :( But I think I have heard that it’s on the roadmap.

Using the above API you can create an incident in the status page when the custom conditions set in the workflow are met.
