Hi, is it possible to automatically raise a status page incident based on some other event?

For example, if Freshservice receives an alert from the NMS, raise an incident to indicate degraded performance on the Local Network

Hi @alyssia.correa and @Kamakshi V

Would you mind moving this post accordingly to the appropriate forum? (FreshService)

Thank you very much in advanced.

Regards,

Hi David.

If you already have Alert Monitoring in place, you should already be generating Incidents upon the Alert Rules you have defined (if your instance is still under Alert Rules; some instances have been already to the enhanced Alert Workflows). This is what actually raises incidents.

Regards,

Hey @eeha0120 - we’ve moved it to the right forum! Thanks for letting us know.

I am also looking for a solution to this. We can make an incident from an alert, but it won’t show on the status page.

Yes, it's possible to automatically raise a status page incident based on another event, like an alert from Freshservice. You can use integration tools like Zapier, Webhooks, or Freshservice API to trigger an incident creation on your status page when specific alerts (like degraded performance) are received from your NMS.

  • Use automation to push incidents created from alerts to the status page. For example:
    • Configure a webhook in your incident management tool to notify your status page when a new incident is created.
    • Map alert severity or type to specific status page updates (e.g., partial outage or major outage).
    • Check your incident tool's documentation for steps to integrate with your status page API.
