Cannot setup freshdesk app.

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hi,

I cannot setup Freshdesk app.

It does not recognise the url (copied and pasted from working desktop). It will not send a reminder. “unable to send a reminder at this time”. It has been saying that for 12 hours.

Brand new Lenovo tab M8.  Android 13.

Any ideas please?

Hi Evlis,

thanks for the quick reply.

The device (android 13) is new - 4 days old. Never had the app on it until i install the latest yesterday. Nothing to uninstall etc.

Fixed. But I do not understand why!

  1. I emailed the url and password from the PC to the tablet. Logged in to Freshdesk via the browser (duckduckgo app). allowed the password to be saved. It worked ok.
  2. Pasted the url to the app.
  3. It gave me the option to sign in using SSO. I accepted.
  4. I was signed in to the app!!!!

I do not like SSO on apps but I will atend to that later.

Thanks again.

Hi.

Just double checking:

  1. Are you using latest available FreshDesk app? Did you Delete App Data (Clean up), Uninstall and Reinstall?
  2. Are you using Custom URL? If using Custom URL, try using the default / standard URL.
  3. If I recall correctly, it does not requiere “https://”. Did you try that?

So odd.

Thanks for sharing the workaround. Glad to know it is working for you now, at least that way.

Thanks LizaAlice01,

as I wrote the tablet was connecting via a browser, just not via the app.

FYI I have a stable, fibre ADSL connection 50Mb down, 5Mb up.

If you're having trouble setting up the Freshdesk app, don’t worry—it happens to the best of us! Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check System Requirements: Ensure your device meets the minimum requirements for running the Freshdesk app. Sometimes, compatibility issues can cause setup problems.

  2. Update the App: Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Freshdesk app. Outdated versions can lead to bugs or setup errors.

  3. Verify Login Credentials: Double-check your login details, including your domain, email, and password. A small typo can prevent you from accessing the app.
