Hi There,

I have few questions, are these Custom Object in FD and Custom Module in FC separate entities in CS Suite?
Is it possible to has a relationship / integration data from each other that can be one single source data?

So, we don’t have to entry the data to each other entities. Hope this could be help us on processing a unique conditions on our customer in the future.

Could you guys kindly give me a deeper insight related these?

Thank you

Hi @aldo,

Firstly apologize for the delay. I understand that you have couple of doubts related to custom objects.

Yes, Custom Objects in Freshdesk (FD) and Custom Modules in Freshchat (FC) are separate entities within the Freshworks Customer Service Suite, each designed for specific use cases. While they operate independently, you can establish integrations or data relationships between them depending on your requirements.

For integration or creating a single source of truth:
1. Custom Objects in FD: These are used to store and link additional data related to native objects like tickets, contacts, and companies in Freshdesk. They allow for enriched contextual data for agents during customer interactions.
2. Custom Modules in FC: These serve to customize and extend the functionality of Freshchat by adding tailored interaction points or workflows specific to chat requirements.

To create a relationship or integration between FD and FC data:
You can utilize APIs provided by Freshdesk and Freshchat to sync or share information between the two platforms, example https://developers.freshdesk.com/api/#retrieve_a_custom_object_record
By custom development or middleware integration, you can check the feasibility to map data from Custom Modules in FC to Custom Objects in FD (or vice versa) to avoid the need for redundant data entry.

This approach can help in building unique workflows or addressing specific customer scenarios while ensuring data consistency and efficiency across both platforms. Ensure implementation of proper APIs or third-party tools for smooth synchronization based on your desired conditions or use cases.

Thank you !!
