Hello everyone,

We use Freshdesk as our intranet.

We’ve been asked to investigate how we could set view permissions at a category or folder level for solutions for logged-in users.

We have a new group of users potentially joining that should only be able to view a specific category.

I can see that you can group agents, but is it possible to group logged-in users and assign them permissions?

Please do shout if I’ve not explained this clearly enough - grateful for any pointers - thanks, Casey

Hi @CaseyL,

Greetings from Freshworks Community!

1.Solution articles visibility can be set up at Folders level.

2.If you require only a specific set of users to access the specific folder, you can create a contact segment and provide permissions to that contact segment. Here are the detailed insights for contact segments: https://support.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/235358-personalize-your-support-using-customer-segments

Check and let us know if this matches you requirements.

Cheers,
Sneha.

Thank you Sneha!

Yes, view permissions in the knowledge hub can be restricted to specific users, ensuring controlled access. Just like different VAT types apply in Spain based on transactions, access levels can vary. Businesses needing to calculate VAT for international transactions must consider permissions to safeguard sensitive financial data effectively.
