Why so many bugs in FD for contact & User Management

FD is not user friendly in terms of contact and agent management . In compare to other tools , FD is not providing us to manage the contact , Even we can not download the filtered contact . Every time if you want to check your contacts , you need to download the all contacts . That will take 1-2 hr to generate the report , If you want to do bulk merging of contacts or bulk update of your agent data that is not possible on FD . We can not do analysis of agent or client.

  1. Downloading Filtered Contact Reports: Freshdesk does not currently allow direct downloading of filtered contact lists. Instead, the export option downloads the entire contact list. To obtain specific filtered data, you may use Advanced Reporting (available in the Analytics module) to create custom reports with the required filters.

  2. Bulk Merging of Contacts: Bulk merging is not a built-in feature in Freshdesk. However, you can manually merge contacts one at a time through the "Merge" option. As an alternative, you can consider using third-party integrations or apps available on the Freshworks Marketplace to manage bulk contact operations more efficiently.

  3. Bulk Agent Updates: Bulk updating agent details directly is not possible in the Freshdesk interface. As a workaround, you can use Freshdesk APIs to perform bulk agent updates programmatically. This allows you to update agent data efficiently in larger volumes.

  4. Analyzing Agent and Client Performance: For in-depth analytics, you can leverage the Analytics module in Freshdesk, which provides detailed reports and insights on agent performance, client activity, and ticket trends. You can also create custom reports to focus on specific metrics.

These suggestions aim to alleviate some of the operational challenges you're experiencing while providing opportunities to streamline workflows. For any feature gaps, submitting feedback to Freshdesk's Product Team can help prioritize these enhancements in future updates.
