Is there a native/declarative way to import tickets into Freshdesk?
I was able to impot companies and contacts, but can't find a way to do the same with tickets.
Only found a paid app on the Marketplace that supposedly does this.

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Hi.

You could use API calls to do that.

As a matter of fact, that is what Freshworks says about importing tickets (besides of using that third party tool):

Hi @AkaCarioca
Depending on your source, you can look for an integration with Freshdesk to directly import tickets from your old platform. If you or someone on your team has coding knowledge, using an API is another option.

However, you might find it beneficial to use a paid third-party tool like Help Desk Migration. This tool automates the transfer of your entire ticket history and allows you to customize the migration to suit your business needs. You can transfer groups, agents, companies, contacts, tickets, categories, folders, and articles. Additionally, you can:

1. Create missing agent profiles and groups
2. Assign a default agent for inactive or deleted agents
3. Migrate inline images as attachments
4. Add tags to migrated tickets
5. Prioritize moving newer tickets first
6. Preserve all data relationships between tickets, agents, groups, contacts, and companies.

Thank you for your inquiry. Depending on your source, you have a few options for integrating with Freshdesk to import your tickets from your old platform. If you or someone on your team has coding knowledge, using an API could be a viable solution for a more customized integration.

However, for a more streamlined and automated approach, you might find it beneficial to use a paid third-party tool like Help Desk Migration. This tool facilitates the transfer of your entire ticket history and allows you to customize the migration to meet your business requirements. It supports the migration of various elements, including groups, agents, companies, contacts, tickets, categories, folders, and articles. Some key features of this tool include:

  1. Creating missing agent profiles and groups
  2. Assigning a default agent for inactive or deleted agents
  3. Migrating inline images as attachments
  4. Adding tags to migrated tickets
  5. Prioritizing the migration of newer tickets first
  6. Preserving all data relationships between tickets, agents, groups, contacts, and companies

This comprehensive approach ensures that all your data is accurately and efficiently transferred to Freshdesk, minimizing disruptions to your support operations.

If you need further assistance or have any questions about the migration process, please feel free to reach out

If you're handling ticket imports manually, organizing data beforehand can save a lot of time. Tools like https://aliciacalculadora.net/ can help streamline calculations or formatting tasks during this process.
