Hi Guys,

Is there a way to use workflow automator to trigger an action if a service stage changes from one to another?

For example, if the stage changes from Anything to Fulfilled then trigger an action?

Much like with Service Request Approvals, if it changes from anything to approved then trigger an action.

I cant seem to work out how to do it with a stage change on the requested item.

Thanks!

Gotcha.  Yeah that definitely sounds like it’d be a useful feature.  If you raise it as an Idea, update this thread and I’ll add my upvote.

I’ve not tested it myself yet but according to the December 2024 release notes it was recently made available in Workflows as a sub-condition:

Example given by Freshworks in their December 2024 release notes

Does this help at all or is this how you’ve currently tried to configure it but it’s not working?

I’m wondering if it would not be triggering as the event, whereby the Stage changes from X to Y, is being performed by ‘System’ and not a user.

This is something I had initially tried but it doesnt quite work as expected.

If I use a Ticket or Service Request is updated event, and then use the subcondition including my desired stage, whenever the ticket is updated and the subcondition is met then the action would occur.

What I am looking for is something similar to how approval events work. So for example, if the event is that the approval status changes from anything to the desired status

So for example, if the event is that the approval status changes from anything to the desired status,

and then moves on to conditions being met, the action would then occur. if that makese sense?
