Freshdesk Automation to Discord (Webhook Trigger)

Hello.

Have anybody tried creating a working Automation Rule in Freshdesk using Webhook Discord?
When I tried to use the Discord webhook link, it’s not sending anything to my discord text channel.

However, I found a work around on this. I created a webhook in https://pipedream.com/ and connected it to my Discord webhook.

I then used the webhook generated from pipedream on my Freshdesk Automation rule and it works.

I was just wondering if there are any easier way to do this.

Hi @rperlas, I hope you are doing well. I understand that the webhook works fine when integrated with a third party application.

We do support external webhooks in Freshdesk and in fact, you can create custom endpoints and use them as well.  

 

To dig deeper into this issue to see why the direct webhook of discord is not working, can you mail the details to support@freshdesk.com? We’d then be able to check this further.

Hi Keer, I did email them first when I was trying the webhook straight to discord but this is their reply.

Thanks for the account URL. Third-party URLs can be set as call-back URLs. It looks like the webhook is failing and since the webhook is using an external call back URL, we will not be able to fetch any logs from our end. You need to check this at the third-party URL platform.
