How to make a GIF

Instead of uploading several screenshots into one solution article, I would prefer to use gif (animated) images. Any recommendations what software to use?

Cheers!

Hi Steffen and Rafaela,

You can use any screen recorder tool to record a screencast. You can then upload the recording to a tool like EZGif and convert the video into a GIF.

If you're on Mac, you can use QuickTime to record screens (here's how you can do that). If you use Windows, you can try the inbuilt utility to record your screen.

Some of our team members also use GIPHY Capture and GIF Brewery - you can try those tools if you want to capture GIFs directly. We also recommend Vidyard if you're creating video walkthroughs for your customers.

If you're working on Windows, I highly recommend a program called ShareX. Great screenshot tool or screen capture tool with built in image editor.

Can output both .mp4 and .gif aswell as .png and .jpg for stills
