Associate software with an incident ticket

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi,

I’m new to FreshService and I’m looking for a way to associate incident tickets with software so that I can use it for reporting. I know that I can associate any ticket with a ‘normal’ asset, but I can’t find a way to associate with software assets.

Thanks in advance,

Toby

To my knowledge there is not a way to associate tickets with software as an asset. Currently we use the categories to group tickets by software (Example: Category: IT, Sub Category: Autodesk Software, Item Category: Autocad) Check out the ideas section in the community where we can upvote suggestions like this. @rashmi.nag The idea below seems to be archived, is it still worth upvoting or should we make a new idea posting?

Hi @keefe.andrews. Please go-ahead and upvoting for the same idea. I shall look into the idea status with the team. Thank you for bringing this up.

Upvoted the idea but wanted to post here as well. Seems odd that this is not already implemented. Instead admins are maintaining multiple lists of software?
