Link with a child request after approval

Dear All


Why after making a request for approval in a request type REQ, the system blocks the add of a child request

That is the same for all service requests. My understanding it locks down the ticket so it can’t be change when it’s waiting for approval or is approved.

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your answer, I did not know if it was an aanomaly. Your answer comforts me however I find it a pity.

May be this subject will be included into an update

You need to add it as idea then. 

In a sense you can order a mouse and send out approval for that and when you are waiting on that and agent adds a laptop as well and when the mouse is approved the user get both the mouse and the laptop.

You can conditionally grant certain staff members or groups the ability to circumvent this restriciton via a Business Rule.  Example whereby we granted the entire Service Desk those rights:

I tried to look for the actions but couldn’t see them.

Ya I see that. I was maybe just blind :) Sometimes the actions changes depending your conditions.
